What We Built and Why

YT1Z started from a simple frustration: existing YouTube downloaders were either cluttered with ads, capped at short video lengths, broken half the time, or required you to install something. We wanted a tool that just worked — fast, clean, honest about what it does.

So we built one. YT1Z is a no-nonsense YouTube to MP4 and MP3 converter. Paste a link, pick your format, get your file. No sign-up, no upsell, no software to install. The whole thing runs in your browser.

What Makes Us Different

Most free downloaders cap you at short videos. We don't. YT1Z supports MP4 downloads up to 3 hours in HD and Full HD, 4K downloads up to 1 hour, and MP3 audio extraction up to 20 hours — which means the longest ASMR compilations, full audiobooks, multi-hour podcasts, and marathon lecture recordings all work without issue.

We also built a YouTube search directly into the tool. You don't need the URL — just type what you're looking for and download from the results. Search suggestions come directly from Google as you type, so they're always relevant.

Our Principles

No registration. Your downloads are your business. We don't need your email address to let you save a video.

No limits. Download one video or a hundred. We don't throttle, cap, or tier our users. Everyone gets the same service.

No tracking. We don't profile users, sell data, or run advertising networks. The only cookie we set remembers whether you prefer dark or light mode.

No software. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing installs on your device. Nothing runs in the background after you close the tab.

YT1Z is available in 20 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Italian, Russian, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Swedish, and Czech. Language versions are accessible from the main navigation or directly via their respective URL paths.
